Delores Claudette Harrell was born the daughter of Jack Carter and Katherine (Goodwin) Carter on October 23, 1940, in Savannah, Georgia, and departed this life March 4, 2015, at West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 74 years.
She was united in marriage on March 13, 1976, at Hardeeville, South Carolina, to William Harrell.
She is survived by her husband, William “Dub” Harrell; two sons, Jack Dudley and wife, Janice of California, and Greg Harrell and wife, Kris of Illinois; one daughter, Billie McCall of Ohio; nine grandchildren, Kevin Dudley, Laura Dudley and Brian Dudley, all of California, Scott Harrell and Josh Harrell, both of Illinois, Kasey Collins of Ohio, Kassidy Simmons of Kansas, and Cody Harrell and Brett Harrell, both of Missouri; one brother, Gary Carter of Seattle, Washington; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Katherine Carter and one son, James Frank Harrell II.
Delores was a dedicated homemaker and a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Thayer, Missouri.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Gary Hirsch officiating.
The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer on Friday, March 6th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
