Mildred Lucille Forester was born the daughter of James Fred Linson and Elsie Agnes (Grooms) Linson on June 6, 1929, in Oregon County, Missouri and departed this life January 6, 2015, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
She was united in marriage on June 5, 1947 at Salem, Arkansas to Eugene Forester, who preceded her in death on September 5, 1986.
She is survived by one son, Frank Forester of Hardy, Arkansas; five brothers, Frank Linson and wife, Elsie of Thayer, Missouri, Carl Linson and wife, Joan of Koshkonong, Missouri, Donald Linson of Thayer, Missouri, Lonnie Linson and wife, Martha of Beebe, Arkansas, and Kenneth Linson and wife, Mabel of Rutland, Illinois; one sister, Janice Collins of Thayer, Missouri; two grandchildren, Joanna Perry and Frankie Jean Forester, both of Pottersville, Missouri; two great grandchildren and one unborn great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elsie Linson; her husband, Eugene Forester; and one sister-in-law, Loretta Linson.
Lucille was a dedicated homemaker. She loved to read and piece quilts and always looked forward to visits from her family and friends.
She was a member of the Koshkonong Free Will Baptist Church.
She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Reverend Darrell Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 9th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.
Burial will be in the Union Hill Cemetery near Koshkonong, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
