Funeral services for Dorotha E. Romans, 97, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with Reverend Ronnie Wheeler officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Cleve Redburn and Effie Jane King Redburn, on December 11, 1919 in Howell County, Missouri and died June 4, 2017 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage April 29, 1939 in Elk Creek, Missouri to Hurvil L. Romans, who preceded her in death January 14, 1998.
She is survived by four children, Odessia Wheeler, Charles Romans, Virgil Romans, and Rebecca Romans Hundley; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Leonard Romans; five siblings, Onus Redburn, Grover Redburn, Virginia Johnson, Vida Montgomery, Willie Barr, and two grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Howell Valley Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
