Funeral Services for Donald Anderson, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with the Reverend Leroy New officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Clifford D. Anderson and Donna M. Huffman Anderson, on June 6, 1938 in Macomb, Illinois and died March 17, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri.
He was united in marriage November 1, 1958 in West Plains, Missouri to Rosa Mae Surritte.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Mae Surritte Anderson, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; five children, Nancy Little and husband David, West Plains, Missouri, Mike Anderson, West Plains, Richard Anderson and wife Joy, West Plains, Dale Anderson and wife Crystal, West Plains and Susan Roberts, West Plains; fifteen grandchildren, Jennifer Haines and husband Jimmie, West Plains, David Little, West Plains, Heather Anderson, West Plains, Justin Anderson, West Plains, Dustin Anderson, Branson Missouri, Promise Lambe and husband Jesse, West Plains, Richie Anderson and wife Alyse, West Plains, Tony Anderson and wife Kelly, West Plains, Heather Little, West Plains, Kegan Drown, West Plains, Bo Drown, West Plains, Amelia Anderson West Plains, Glenn Roberts II, West Plains, Dylan Roberts, West Plains, Candace Roberts, West Plains; eight great grandchildren, Jasmine Luallen, West Plains, Brendon Little, West Plains, Austin Bauer, Ozark, Missouri, Nicholas Long, West Plains, Kaylee Lambe, West Plains, Macey Lambe, West Plains, Kara Anderson, West Plains, Alexis Anderson, West Plains and one brother, Bob Anderson and wife Martha, West Plains.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford D. Anderson and Donna M. Huffman Anderson; one grandson, Kevin Christopher Anderson; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Anderson, and one infant great grandson.
He was the owner of Circle C, Circle M, and Rockin’ D Western Stores for twenty-nine years. He worked at the International Shoe Factory for thirty-one years. He enjoyed bowling for over 50 years and was a dog kennel owner. He was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Pottersville Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
