Wanda Roark, 61, Koshkonong, Missouri, passed away October 22, 2025 in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born September 28, 1964 in West Plains, Missouri to the late Vernie “Herb” Roark and Emma “Miller” Roark.
She is survived by seven siblings, Charles Roark, Koshkonong, Missouri, Janie Roark, Koshkonong, Missouri, Vernie Roark and wife Linda, Thayer, Missouri, Jim Roark and wife Lisa, Koshkonong, Missouri, Sheila Smith and husband Jeff, West Plains, Missouri, Wilda McNiell and husband Jim, Houston, Missouri, and Bill Roark and wife, Judy, Koshkonong, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie “Herb” Roark and Emma Roark.
She attended the Wayside Church, Koshkonong, Missouri for several years.
Wanda had a life long love for the farm, and loved to see all the new born calves and lambs, helping to hand raise the orphans and abandoned ones. She was always pointing out which heifers or ewe lambs she thought we should keep.
She loved her fur babies, Matilda Ann, Henry Bob, Molly Ann, and Billy Bob Joe Jr.
She loved Fall best of the seasons, and it seems fitting she went to be with Jesus when the air is cool, and the leaves are turning. She loved to decorate for hoilidays and being with her family.
She put a lot of effort into her work for Ozarks Health Care, and was proud of all their accomplishments. She was proud of all her staff. She considered Glennetta Haney to be her bonus sister, and Carol Reynolds to always have her back. She said everyone needs a Carol. She loved to relax after work, watching old movies. Family meant everything to her and she was always doing things for them. She considered her nephews and nieces to be her kids.
There is now a hole in our lives that cannot be filled. Certainly heaven gained the best biscuit maker around.

I consider it a great privilege to have been a co-worker of Wanda at OZH. We had just got to chat the week before. She was a hard worker, a patient advocate, a staff advocate and an all around wonderful person. She leaves a legacy at OZH and big shoes to fill.
May the image of Wanda at Jesus’s knee surrounded by family and all her furries bring a smile to your face and soothe your hurting hearts.

My heart’s so heavy for this family that I have so many fond memories of and with. I ask God to wrap His arms around each of you and comfort as only He can. Heaven truly gained a special angel and I know her wings are so very beautiful. I love you all.
