Robert B. Thompson Sr. “Bob”, born on November 30, 1937, in Couch, Missouri, passed away on September 27, 2024, in Mountain View, Missouri. He was the son of Henry Willis Thompson and Velia Ola Combs.
Bob was a devoted family man and a hardworking individual who cherished his faith as a Christian. He married the love of his life, Alma Beatrice Brawley, on October 29, 1955, in Greer, Missouri. Their marriage lasted 53 years until Alma’s passing in 2009.
Bob had a passion for life that included watching westerns featuring John Wayne, enjoying RFD, hunting, riding his ATV, and breakfast outings with his brother, Billy. He was an avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals and embraced every moment spent with his family. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by one son, Robert Thompson and his wife, Candy; grandchildren, Tiffany Thompson (Goran Simovski), Eric Thompson, and Tonya Coleman (Robert); as well as great-grandchildren Dylan Hogan, Jeffrey Unland, Colton Unland, Ava Simovski, Cody Coleman, and Bentley Coleman, a great-great-grandson, Jeffrey Unland III, brothers, Boyd and Billy Thompson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Velia Thompson, his beloved wife, Alma Thompson, one daughter, Patricia Lucille Thompson, one great – grandson, Dhane Hogan, and ten siblings.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel of Thayer, Missouri.
Interment will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri.

Uncle Bob, I will dearly miss you and never forget our talks and the way you make me laugh with all your jokes and stories. I am happy I got to see you at the family reunion before the Lord called you home. I love you so much and will never let those wonderful memories go of you. I will forever cherish those times..
