Catherine Irene Agee, daughter of the late Robert Grogan and Rosettie Crain Grogan, was born June 13, 1927 in Grogan, Missouri and died June 20, 2023 at Willow Care Health Care, Willow Springs, Missouri, at the age of 96 years.
She was married June 4, 1953 in Salem, Arkansas to John W. Agee, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children, Patricia (Agee) Collins and husband Larry, Willow Springs, Missouri, and Roxann (Agee) Gates, Thayer, Missouri; four grandchildren, Larry Collins and wife Sandra, Willow Springs, Missouri, Becky and Marty Burgess, Willow Springs, Missouri, Anthony Collins, West Plains, Missouri, and Lillie Gates, Thayer, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Katie Banta and husband Bryce, West Plains, Missouri, and Auston Burgess, Willow Springs, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her husband; one son, James Robert Agee, and one brother, Troy Grogan.
She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Willow Springs, Missouri for over fifty years.
Catherine lived a long and full life filled with faith and family. She loved the Lord and was a loyal and faithful servant. She loved to read and study the bible. She loved her family and was a selfless person. She would tell life stories and local history to anyone that was willing to listen. She loved being a wife, mom, and grandmother. She was full of wisdom and advice. She also loved to read, write, and sew. She was always surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Near Home Cemetery, Texas County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
