Graveside services for Barbara Gunter, 52, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Pottersville Cemetery with Brother Bill Bales officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of Margaret Engel Gunter and the late Leslie Gunter, on October 6, 1961 in Pratt, Kansas and died August 24, 2014 in West Plains, Missouri.
She is survived by her mother Margaret Engel Gunter; 2 children, Adam, Willow Springs, Missouri and Luke, Lakeview, Nebraska; five siblings, Keith Gunter and wife, Nancy, South Fork, Missouri, Helen Spurgeon, West Plains, Missouri, Carol Hall and husband, Greg, Hopland, California, Michael Gunter and wife, Connie, Crider, Missouri, and Tommy Gunter, West Plains, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father Leslie Gunter; and one brother, Danny Gunter.
She attended nursing school in Pratt, Kansas and after graduating, worked at the hospital there. She enjoyed art, horses, and all outdoor activities.
