Funeral Services for Jack Ledbetter, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Brother Erman Croney officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Enoch Ledbetter and Ella Hopkins Ledbetter, on May 8, 1931 in West Plains, Missouri and died September 27, 2013 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage June 15, 1950 in West Plains, Missouri to Virlean Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Virlean Hall Ledbetter, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; nine children, Dale Ledbetter, Twin Bridges, Missouri, Dave Ledbetter, West Plains, Missouri, Dean Ledbetter and wife, Rose, Twin Bridges, Missouri, Dan Ledbetter and wife, Tina, West Plains, Missouri, Don Ledbetter, Midway, Arkansas, Doris Hambelton and husband Guy, Gainesville, Missouri, Dal Ledbetter and wife, Lori, Gainesville, Missouri, Doug Ledbetter, Twin Bridges, Missousri, and Devin Ledbetter, Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Marion Ledbetter and wife, Fern, Pomona, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Charles Ledbetter; three brothers, Othel Ledbetter, Homer Ledbetter, and Wayne Ledbetter; three sisters, Nancy Wheat, Betty Romans, and Fern Ledbetter.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was a school bus driver for thirteen years for the Dora School District.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses or can be made to the Union Grove Cemetery Fund, and can be left at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
