Funeral services for Garry Ellis, 67, Cape Fair, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains Missouri, with Jeri Luna and Sonny Salmon officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.

He was born the son of the late James Jerry Ellis and Mary Lee Morrison Ellis, on January 26, 1955 in Corcoran, California and died February 12, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was united in marriage November 2, 1974 in Bakersfield, Missouri to Gail Fienhold.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Fienhold Ellis, of the home, Cape Fair, Missouri two children, Bradley Ellis and wife Renee, St. Genevieve, Missouri and Maranda Kimberly and husband Aaron, Nixa, Missouri; one brother, James Terry Ellis and wife Diana, Bakersfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kendal Pennington, Cohen Pennington, Brooklynn Kimberly, Jaxsynn Kimberly, Journee Kimberly, Thomas Ellis, and Lilllian Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Jerry Ellis; one son, Jeffry Ellis, and one sister Donna Pool.

He loved all motor sports, especially NASCAR. He loved to fish, take his boat out, pretty much anything that had to do with the water. He also enjoyed hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids and any activity that were involved in.

There will be a short viewing before the service starts at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Shrable Cemetery, Vidette, Arkansas, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

    To the Ellis Family, We are so very sorry for your loss. Garry was a wonderful guy. He will be very missed around here at Honda. Praying God Bless and carry you all through these times. And I pray his love for you all surround you every day.

    I remember teaching both Garry and Gail in the early days when teaching was fun, those are good memories. We will all miss him.
