Teresa Joann Rhodes, daughter of the late Clarence M. Rhodes and Ada “Stevens” Rhodes, was born September 11, 1943 in Marion County, Arkansas, and died at Brooke Haven Healthcare in West Plains, Missousri, at the age of 79 years old.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Cockrum, West Plains, Missouri and one adopted son, Michael Rhodes, West Plains, Missouri; two sisters, Joyce Mottie and June Hillhouse, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three children, Ricky Hattaway, Kelly Hattaway, and Robin Owens; one brother, Harold Rhodes, and two sisters, Ruth Hagar and Reba Ysidro.
Teresa loved children. She was a psychometrist in the state of Oklahoma, working with children who had disabilities of all types. She also had worked as a special education teacher. She loved to do needle point work, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Pontiac Cemetery, Pontiac, Missouri.
