Roy J Coldiron passed away at home on January 12th, 2021 at the age of 83

He was born April 15th 1937 in the Koshkonong, Missouri area.

He is survived by his wife Fern (McCullough) Coldiron. They met and later married August 29th 1959.

To this union was born two daughters, Beverly Coldiron and Jo Anne Taulbee both of Wichita, Kansas; four granddaughters Amy Hernandez (Nick) of Wichita, Kansas, Melissa Girdley (Ty) of Springfield, Missouri, Emily Coldiron of Los Angeles, California, and Jenessa Sponamore (Jon) of Wichita,Kansas; two grandsons Joshua Taulbee of Bowling Green, Kentucky and IJ Ray of Wichita, Kansas; five great grandchildren, Hannah Kirk, Lawson Kirk, Ellynore Hernandez, Alyssa Sponamore of Wichita, Kansas, and Austin McCutchen of Springfield, Missouri; two step grandchildren Dylan Girdley of Springfield, Missouri and William Hernandez of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers Jim Coldiron (Ramona) and Larry Coldiron (Diana) both of Wichita, Kansas, and one sister Pat Dixon (George) of West Plains, Missouri; one sister in-law Pat Coldiron of Wichita, Kanas, and Aunt Wanda Holloway of Salem, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his dad Edward Coldiron, mother Marie Peterson, step-dad Lonnie Peterson and two brothers Gene Coldiron and Dean Coldiron.

He was a member of the Missouri Avenue Church of Christ since his retirement in 1995. He retired from Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. He loved spending time with all his family, traveling to other states, fishing, hunting, gardening and going to garage sales and auctions.

He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Isabella Cemetery, Ozark County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.

Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, before leaving for the cemetery.

    Pat and George,

    Our deepest condolences to the both of you and the rest of the Coldiron Families on the passing of Roy. He always had a smile and a friendly personality when he would visit your Mother/Brother over on Monks Street. Prayers for all of you daily. During this difficult time may God give each of you peace, comfort, encouragement, and strength. May God bless all of you.

    We are very sorry to hear about the passing of brother Roy. He was a good Christian man and will be missed by all. Prayers for the family. May God bless all of you.
