Funeral Services for Oleva Cawvey, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Evangelist Gene Bench officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Anderson Ward and Elsie Busbey Ward, on February 7, 1921 in Moko, Arkansas and died March 8, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage May 31, 1938 in Sturkie, Arkansas to Lewis Wilson Cawvey, who preceded her in death July 5, 1998.
She is survived by two children, Donna Dobbs, West Plains, and Leon Cawvey, wife, Ida Mae, Moody, Missouri; one brother, Roy Ward, wife, Jean, West Plains; two sisters, Margene Kinder, Sturkie, Arkansas, and Peggy Upton, West Plains; five grandchildren, Michele Adkisson, husband, Darin, West Plains, Kim Barnes, husband, Jeremy, West Plains, Stacy Cawvey, wife, Donna, Haysville, Kansas, Scott Cawvey, wife, Debbie, state of Florida, and Monica Cawvey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; eight great grandchildren, Lakan, Zakry, Allie, Maci, Wyatt, Sarah, Clayton, and Camry.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers and five sisters.
She was a member of the West 160 Church of Christ, West Plains. She loved attending church, and enjoyed working with her flowers. She loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandbabies. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial contributions may be to State Line Cemetery Fund, and can be left at the funeral home.
Burial will be in State Line Cemetery, Fulton County, Arkansas, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
