Mason Montgomery Stutts, born on March 9, 2004, in Statesville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2024, in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 20.
Mason was a young man of strong faith, often sharing his belief in the promise of reuniting with loved ones after death. Just a month prior to his passing, he reassured his family about his faith and the hope they would see him again. He cherished the time spent with his family, particularly his daughter Millie Jayde, who was the absolute light of his life. Mason found joy in simple moments, from bathing Millie Jayde and rocking her to sleep, to laughing and playing with her in the water.
An avid outdoorsman, Mason enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest joy came from being a devoted father. He had been with Mikah for two wonderful years, and together they created a bond that was filled with love and happiness. Mason will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his parents, Teresa and Robbie Milton, and Billy Stutts; fiancée, Mikah Squires; and beloved daughter, Millie Jayde. Mason also leaves behind his sister, Katie Tate and husband Colmane; brother, John Michael; and grandfather, Johnny Brown.
Mason was preceded in death by his grandmother, Faye Brown; grandfather, William Stutts; grandmother, Jennie Wilson; cousin, Darren Stutts; and father-in-law, Timmy Squires.
A private service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, officiated by Brother Charles Morgan. Pallbearers will include Keith Goodman, Lance Goodman, Piper Cox, Kyrin Magnuson, Trenton Vance, Chris Kray, Bobby Dale, and Tyler Orf.

As John’s new wife, we have been talking about how he was when they were growing up. Getting to hear stories of both of them has been a great time, just wish it was on better terms. We went to the high school and the principal and teachers extended their condolences. John’s family has been here for one another and that is wonderful to see. Wishing the best for Millie. My husband and her have the same birthday so that is extra special.
On this day, may all who loved him feel comforted by God and know they are also loved.
