Mary Aleeta Todd was born the daughter of Harley Manor and Eliza (Mask) Manor on October 20, 1924, in Camp, Arkansas, and departed this life on January 14, 2017, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 92 years.
She was united in marriage on December 23, 1939, at Fryatt, Arkansas, to Roy Todd.
She is survived by two sons, Harold Todd and wife, Neoma of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Jerry Todd of Thayer, Missouri; one daughter, Mary Hollis and husband, Larry of Thayer, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kim Carr and husband, Darren of Thayer, Missouri, Carolyn Edwards and husband, Sam of Thayer, Missouri, Jamie Todd of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Karen Rikard and husband, Byron of Thayer, Missouri; eleven great grandchildren, Alisha Reed, Samantha Edwards, Kayla Edwards, Crystal Edwards, Jerrod Carr, Hannah Carr, Cole Rikard, Drew Henson, Dawson Rikard, Keegan Todd, and Addison Todd; one brother, Cleo Langle of Texas; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Eliza Manor; her husband, Roy Todd; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn Todd and Janice Todd; two brothers and their wives, Clarence and Dene Langle and Theodore and JoRita Langle; two sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Donald Reagan and Illa and Noel Pingleton; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer and Fern Todd, Ward and Lottie Willison, Jack and Lorene Privett, Frank and Gladys Willison, and Aubrey and Iva Layne.
Aleeta worked for Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, retiring in 1991 after more than twenty years of service.
She was an excellent cook and loved to prepare meals for her family and friends.
Aleeta enjoyed gardening and yard work, but most of all, she treasured the many years she spent caring for her grandkids.
She was baptized and was of the Free Will Baptist faith.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with David Langston officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.
Burial will be in the Camp Cemetery at Camp, Arkansas, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
