Funeral Services for Loraine M. Long, 63, West Plains, Missouri, will be 10:00 am Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, with the Father Joe Weidenbenner officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of Francis Roulston Lobell and the late Noel Vernon Lobell, Jr., on December 28, 1947 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and died March 9, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage July 17, 1970 in French Settlement, Louisiana to Earsel Eugene Long, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Earsel Eugene Long, Jr., of the home, West Plains, Missouri; her mother Francis Lobell Brown, French Settlement, Louisiana; four children, Angie Walters, husband, Darian, Alton, Missouri, Scott Long, wife, Christian, West Plains, Missouri, Vicki Keith, husband, Eric, Paragould, Arkansas, and Kevin Long, wife, Constance, Springfield, Missoiuri; two sisters, Marie Kohl, husband, Paul, St. Louis, Missouri, and Patsy Guitreau, husband, Alfred, French Settlement, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father Noel Vernon Lobell, Jr.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Plains, Missouri. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening and doing craft work. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and can be left at the funeral home.
Visiation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm.. at Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
