Lois Alma Moore, age 92, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018.
She was born August 22, 1925 at Doniphan, Missouri, to Jessie Mae Tutterow and Dan Harmon Payne. Lois was married in Texarkana, Arkansas, on June 21, 1944 to L.C. Moore of Queen City, Texas. She was a devoted wife to her husband till his death, and a loving mother to their three children. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, fishing, and hunting. She was added to her Lord by baptism and at her death was a member of Palm Street Church of Christ, Lonoke, Arkansas.
Lois is survived by a daughter, Alma Geraldine (Kenneth) Dinkins, a son, Jesse M. (Lynette) Moore, a daughter-in-law, Carol Moore; 7 grandchildren: Teresa (Kevin) Parsons, Leonard Moore III, Christy Moore, Amy (Chad) Marthaler, Carie Moore (Chad Mckenzie), Kenneth Dinkins, Jr., and Andy Moore; 8 great grandchildren: Jeremy (Lindsey) Parsons, Ashley (Jeremy) Duncan, Ryan Parsons, Zach Moore, Sean McCaffrey, Dani Moore, Mackenzie Marthaler, and Bodie Moore-Mckenzie; 2 great-great grandchildren: Blakely Duncan and Nathan Parsons; a sister: Annabel (Ervon) Tillman and two brothers: Elmer Payne and David Rodger (Linda) Payne and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard (L.C.) Moore I; a son: Leonard Moore II: a daughter-in-law, Sally Moore; her parents: Jessie and Dan Payne; 3 sisters: Eva Jean Crook, Melva Vandergriff and Audrey Adams and one brother: Dossie Payne.
A heartfelt thanks is extended to the Staff of the Lonoke Health and Rehab Center, Lonoke, Arkansas for their helpful, loving care of our mother.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Doniphan, Missouri.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Doniphan, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
