    Julia Marcella McKinney, 92, of Ravenden, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Julia was born on January 18, 1933, in Corning, Arkansas, to Luther Henry Case and Martha Weaver Case.

    Julia dedicated her life to her family and the animals on the farm, finding joy in caring for both. She was known for her culinary skills, particularly her famous chocolate rolls, and chicken and dumplings that brought smiles to all who had the pleasure of tasting them.

    She is survived by her children, Lukas (Donna) McKinney of Pevely, MO, Shonnie French of Mountain Home, AR, and Renea (Len) Frey of Jonesboro, AR, along with an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who all called her Mamaw who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

    Julia is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Martha Case, her husband, Jesse (Jim) McKinney, one son, Dearl Ray McKinney, one granddaughter, Sonia Bounds, as well as three brothers and four sisters. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Taylor Cemetery of Ravenden, Arkansas.

    I am so sorry to hear this. I would come to Julie’s service in a minute but I have no clue where that cemetery is. I know her and Jim are wrapped in each other’s arms.

    She was a lady . I worked on her washer and didn’t think about her last name . But as we talk found out we where related. We spent time talking and learning about her and my grandparents history. I really loved the time to got to know her .
