Funeral services for Juanita Wren, 89, Salem, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012, 2:30 p.m, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Reverend Dan Cargill officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Luther Bayless and Hattie Earwood Bayless, on July 21, 1922 in Coolidge, Texas and died January 14, 2012 in Salem, Missouri.
She was united in marriage February 5, 1942 in Texas, to Charles Lester Wren, Sr, who preceded her in death in 1980.
She is survived by two children, Charles Lester Wren, Jr., West Plains, Missouri, and Luther Wren, Providence Forge, Virginia; one brother, Royce Bayless, Joplin, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kelly Rice, Salem, Missouri, Charles Wren, wife, Erin, Niangua, Missouri, Christopher Wren, wife, Marisa, Clever, Missouri, and Terri Wren, West Plains, Missouri, and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, and three sisters.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, West Plains, and a member of the West Plains Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 193.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society, and can be left at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
