John Henry Houser was born the son of Grover W. Houser and Hazel (Emmons) Houser on April 19, 1941, in Saint Louis, Missouri, and died April 18, 2017, in Crown Point, Indiana, at the age of 75 years.
He was united in marriage on October 8, 1970, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Carol Sue Lawson and to this union two children were born, Jonni Houser and Franki Houser. He was united in marriage in 1984, in Saint Clair, Missouri, to Candice Jones and to this union two children were born, Nicole Houser and Rachel Sweet. He was united in marriage in Alton, Missouri, on October 2, 2012, to Barbara (Montgomery) Kittrell.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Houser of Leasburg, Missouri; four children, Jonni Houser, Franki Houser, Nicole Houser and Rachel Sweet; six grandchildren, Jacob, Tristen, McKenzie, Brooklynn, David, and Trinity; and one brother, Ben Houser of Hobart, Indiana; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Hazel Houser; and one grandson, Cooper.
John was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and loved the beauty of nature, especially red bud and dogwood trees.
He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for John Henry Houser, age 75, of Bourbon, Missouri, will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.
Burial will be in Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

my husband worked with a john henry houser in st loius mo. in 1964, he was a roofer , would this be the same john henry that was a roofing contractor, we lost touch when we came back home to Alton, mo. our symphathy goes out for your family and his children. thanks
