James Ray Nettles, 63, West Plains, Missouri, son of the late Jerry Nettles and Marilyn (Connell) Nettles, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his home in West Plains, Missouri.

James was married to Dynise Wahl in 1992 at Rockford, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Dynise Wahl Nettles, West Plains, Missouri; four children, Candis Inpirom, San Diego, California; Catie Nettles and friend Nathaniel Smith, Roscoe, Illinois; Adam Nettles and wife Sonja, Peace Valley, Missouri, and Jerry Nettles and wife Pretty, Lee Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Kirk Nettles and wife Angela, West Plains, Missouri, and Jody Scheig and wife Cynthia, state of North Carolina; one sister, Briana Hennesay, and husband Steven, West Plains, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Zander, Nemiah, Nalene, Kaden, Kendra, Melia, and Warren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Nettles and Marilyn “Connell” Nettles.

James was self-employed, working on septic tanks. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcyle and enjoyed hunting. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
