Imogene Gloria Revelle, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on May 1, 1938, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, to her parents Arvel Monroe Hurtt and Flora Whiteside Hurtt. Imogene was the loving wife of Bill Revelle, and they shared a beautiful marriage for 52 years until his passing on July 11, 2008.

Imogene was a dedicated housewife, pouring her heart and soul into caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and later resided in Granite City, Illinois. Imogene was a warm and generous woman who always put her loved ones first.

In her free time, Imogene enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including playing Uno, making peanut brittle, doing crochet, and cooking for her family. She cherished family gatherings and took pleasure in camping at the lake and visiting Silver Dollar City and Branson in the fall. Imogene had a deep love for music, particularly Elvis Presley, and never missed an episode of the Presley’s Jubilee.

Imogene will be deeply missed by her children, Danny Revelle (Jane), Kelly Revelle (Sheryl), and Gloria Harrison (William ‘Bill’). She is also survived by her brother, Charlie Hurtt (Charlotte), sister-in-law Doris Glasgow, grandchildren Austin Revelle, Kristopher Revelle, Joshua Harrison, Amanda Fester, Jessica Revelle, David and Cassidy Shultz, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel and Flora Hurtt, her husband Bill Revelle, siblings Mary Louise (infant), Arvel Monroe Jr. (infant), Ila Corbett, James Hurtt, Ann Haney, Marie Wilcox, June Case, Ronald Hurtt, Jessie Lee (infant), and grandson Zachary Revelle.

Imogene Gloria Revelle will be remembered for her loving and caring nature, her devotion to her family, and her joyful spirit. May she rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be June 20, 2024, Thursday , from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel of Thayer, Missouri. 

Funeral Service will be June 20, 2024, Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel of Thayer, Missouri. 

Burial will be  June 20, 2024, Thursday, at the Riverside Cemetery of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

    Sweet Sweet Gloria & Billy, family. Our hearts are so broken. We know she is missed already. What a sweet momma & friend, Sister In Christ. So many memories. Precious memories.
