Evelyn M. Cook, daughter of the late Cecil Miller and Mary Campbell Miller, was born September 4, 1931 in West Plains, Missouri and died October 15, 2017 in Mountain. Home, Arkansas at the age of 86 years.
She was united in marriage in the state of Wisconsin to Willis Cook, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, Judy Smith and husband Fay, Lovespark, Illinois; Kathy Nystrom and husband Dick, Cherry Valley, Illinois, and Phyllis Hodges and husband James, Mountain Home, Arkansas, and special daughter, Deloris Campbell and husband Carl, West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Fern Celli, Sacramento, California; three grandchildren, Rodney Nystrom, Rockford, Illinois; Michele VanFleet, South Beloit, Illinois, and Christopher Gregory, Rockford, Illinois; three great grandchildren, Zachary Lindblom, state of Washington; Darin VanFleet, South Beloit, Illinois, and Kaytie VanFleet, South Beloit, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven sisters and one brother.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great gramdchildren. She loved to watch the hummingbirds at their feeder, watching television, and linen painting.
Funeral services for Evelyn M. Cook will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri, with Amber Tooley officiating.
Visitation time will be on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri.
Burial will be in Huddleston Cemetery, Oregon County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
