Graveside services for Esther Mae Scarlet, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be 1:00 pm, Friday, February 4, 2011, at Woodside Cemetery, Thomasville, Missouri, with Brother Bill Bales officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late James Norman Fisher and Icil Velma Lasley Fisher, on September 1, 1935 in Carmen, Illinois, and died February 2, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri.
She is survived by three children, Richard Scarlet, Rebecca Powell, and Rhonda Nichols; one sister, Grace Sanders; two brothers, James Fisher and Ronald Fisher; five grandchildren, Jamie Carroll, Joshua Nichols, Justin Powell, James Nichols, and Jacob Nichols; four great grandchildren, Morgan Nichols, Tristan Nichols, Jackson Carroll, and Jameson Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Norman Fisher and Icil Velma Lasley Fisher; one sister, Carolyn Fisher, and one great granddaughter, Faith Nichols.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and can be left at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
