Erma Lea (Young) Garrison,79, of Myrtle, Missouri passed away December 15, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 1, 1943, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to Robert Vernon and Sylvia (Swetnam) Young.
Erma married the love of her life James (Jim) Garrison on June 21, 1961, and within this union four children were born.
Erma was full of life and loved everyone. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband; one son Wesley (Carla) Garrison; three daughters Traci (Darrell) Collins, Tina (Will) Hicks and April (Kevin) Bridges; nine grandchildren Shantana Collins, Austin (Olivia) Garrison, Reece (Kensey) Garrison, Colten (Alicia) Hicks, Heath (Morgan) Hicks, Paige Hicks, Dalton (Angela) Bridges, Rickey Bridges and Avery Bridges; and nine great-grandchildren Easten, Adlee and Colsen Hicks, Elijah Collins, Spencer and Scott Bridges, Elsie and Lottie Hicks and Emery Garrison; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Oscar “Bud” Young; and three sisters Ada LaFern Hunter, Iva DeLora Rose and Nedra Jean Scott.
Funeral services for Erma Garrison, age 79, of Myrtle, Missouri, will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Bryd Freewill Baptist Church in Myrtle, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 6 – 8p.m at Carter Funeral Home chapel in Thayer, Missouri.
Interment will be on Sunday, December 18, 2022, in Byrd Cemetery, Myrtle Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
