Graveside Services for Edith Eileen Rieskamp, 90, Willow Springs, Missouri, will be 2:00pm Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the Mount Zion Cemetery with the Elder James Kimbrough officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Rex Ruberson and Mary Irene Griffen, on January 15, 1925 in Coffeyville, Kansas and died November 29, 2015 in Willow Springs, Missouri.
She was united in marriage April 18, 1946 in West Plains, Missouri to Charles David Rieskamp, who preceded her in death November 5, 1986.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Rieskamp and wife Shannon of Pomona, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jennifer Leigh Rieskamp and James Thomas “JT” Rieskamp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Rieskamp; her parents Rex Ruberson and Mary Irene Ruberson; one sister, Mildred Ruberson; one brother, Rex Lawrence Ruberson; and one grandson David Rieskamp.
She had two years of college which allowed her to become a teacher. She taught Gunner’s Valley School and Dowling School in the White Church area. She was a homemaker and an especially good cook. Her passion was gardening and she was especially prized for her roses. She liked vacation travel, taking long trips with her husband. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
