Larry Wayne Bible was born the son of Ralph L. Bible and Carrie Belle Stroup Bible on April 4, 1943 in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life April 6, 2012 at his home in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 69 years.
Larry was united in marriage on October 6, 1964 to Marilyn Kay Whiteside.
He is survived by his wife, Kay of the home in Thayer, Missouri; one daughter, Billie Rae Barnes and husband, Jamie of O’Fallon, Missouri; one grandson, Alex James Barnes of O’Fallon, Missouri; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Daisy Whiteside of Thayer, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Donna Fink and husband, Doyle of Thayer, Missouri, Terri Hull and husband, Dan of Thayer, Missouri and Sharon Bible of Eugene, Missouri; one nephew, Michael Fink and wife, Jamie of Forney, Texas; four nieces, Cindi Fink of Thayer, Missouri, Cynthia, Diana and Sandra of Eugene, Missouri; two great nephews, Josh and Nick Fink of Forney, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Carrie Bible and one brother, Harold Lee Bible.
Larry was a Conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, retiring after thirty years of service. He served as local chairman for the UTU for four years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Bible will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. The body will lie in state until the time of service. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
Eulalie (Hall) Humphrey was born the daughter of Claude Hall and Jessie Estes Hall on December 26, 1927 in Agnos, Arkansas and departed this life April 3, 2012 at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 84 years.
She was united in marriage July 15, 1948 at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to Oliver R. Humphrey, who preceded her in death on November 7, 1984.
She is survived by one son, Bobby R. Humphrey and wife, Linda of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Garry Martin of Springdale, Arkansas, Tonya Hargrove of Thayer, Missouri, Kimberly Smith of Thayer, Missouri and Terry R. Humphrey of Cassville, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Devin and Alec Smith, Shelby and Paige Sutherland and Kinley Starr Humphrey; five step great grandchildren; two brothers, Boyd Ray Hall of Salem, Arkansas and Noble Dale Hall of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one sister, Ethel Morris of Gepp, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Jessie Hall; her beloved husband, Oliver Humphrey and daughter, Donna Sue Martin.
Before her retirement, Eulalie was a clerk at Palace Drug Store. She greeted customers with a smile and made many lasting friendships throughout the years.
Eulalie enjoyed reading and eating strawberry ice cream. Most of all, she loved her family and especially the joy her grandchildren brought into her life.
Mrs. Humphrey was of the Methodist faith, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Myrtle Anna Harper was born the daughter of George Moore and Emily Phipps Moore on April 18, 1921 in Alton, Missouri and died March 22, 2012 in Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage November 3, 1945 in the home of Harry Beatty to Waymon Harper who preceded her in death December 25, 1997.
She is survived by three children, Charles Harper and wife, Phyllis of Springfield, Missouri, Barbara Clark and husband, Mike of St. Louis, Missouri, and Cathy Deckard and husband, Russell of Thayer, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Jeremy Clark, Matthew, Anthony and Keith Deckard and Roxie, Rhonda and Robert Lewsader; four great grandchildren, Matthew and Natalia Lewsader and Logen and Landen Deckard; two great great grandchildren, Victor and Penelope Lewsader, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant son, Billy Ray Harper; one grandson, Russ Deckard; two brothers and three sisters.
She was an avid gardener and loved to work with her flowers. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She worked for many years for Riverways Home Health and Thayer Nursing Home. After her retirement she continued to visit and assist with the residents at the nursing home. She graduated with the class of 1939, which was the first class to graduate from the New Couch High School.
She will be remembered as an excellent pianist, playing for many funerals, revivals, weddings and other functions.
Mrs. Harper was an active member of the Norman Church for fifty years. She later attended Thayer Free Will Baptist Church before becoming a faithful member of Thayer Assembly of God Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a loyal friend. She will truly be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Norman Church near Thayer with Brother Richard Robinson officiating. Burial will be at the Norman Cemetery.
William Thomas “Tom” Stark was born the son of J.D. Stark and Sharon Wilkinson Stark on June 1, 1961 at Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life March 19, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 50 years.
He was united in marriage on June 26, 1994 at Elko, Nevada to Marilyn Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stark of the home in Republic, Missouri; three daughters, Sydney Rose Stark and Samantha (Sammy) Mae Stark of the home and Ashley Blair Stark of Castle Rock, Colorado; his mother, Sharon Stark of Seligman, Missouri; one sister, Candis Stark Markee of San Jacinto, California; one brother, Milo Tuttle and wife, Tina of Lenoir City, Tennessee; seven nieces, Nargiss Pourman, Tabitha, Trisha and Tracy Markee, Terra and Kayla Tuttle and Cindy Nelson; seven nephews, Wesley Markee, Alex and Jason Tuttle, Brad and Tyler Nelson, Jesse D. Stark and Bijan J.R. Pourmand; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Stark; one son, Courtland Jacob Tittle and one brother, Timothy “Tim” Stark.
He was a member of the Shepherds Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas and held the highest respect and love for Pastor Murrey.
Tom was a brick mason by trade and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed floating the river or just sitting on the creek bank. His favorite pastime was watching the Kansas City Chiefs football games with his brother Ben, nephew Jesse and good friends. He was a good cook and known for his great pot of chili or he would grill you a “mean steak”.
Tom was a wonderful family man. He always looked up to his big brother, Milo; loved and cherished his wife and family, especially his daughters, fondly referred to as his “rascals”. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Reverend Gerald Bounds officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the family and left at the Carter Funeral Home.
Gene Lloyd Bresee was born the son of Ray C. Bresee and Stella M. Bennett Bresee on January 8, 1941 in Iola, Kansas and departed this life March 16, 2012 at his home near Thayer, Missouri at the age of 71 years.
He was united in marriage November 12, 1957 in Iola, Kansas to Esther Johnston who preceeded him in death April 4, 2011.
He is survived by four children, Edward Bresee of West Plains, Missouri, Charlene Herring and husband, Frank of West Plains, Missouri, Brian Bresee and wife, Gina of West Plains, Missouri and Janet Brewer of Alton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Bresee of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Jenny Allen of Neodesha, Kansas, and Rosa Jones of Moran, Kansas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Stella Bresee; his wife Esther Bresee; one brother, Roy Bresee; one great-grandson, Tyler James Bresee and one grandson-in-law, Brian Maddox.
Mr. Bresee was a carpenter by trade. He was known for staying busy as he enjoyed rebuilding small engines and repairing milking machines. In his spare time he could be found hunting and fishing.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed by his family, his many friends and all who knew and loved him.
“Dude” Mabel Feid was born the daughter of Rufus Hathaway and Sarah Kelly Hathaway on March 5, 1919 in Mound City, Kansas and departed this life March 13, 2012 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 93 years.
Dude is survived by three children, Leroy “Flip” Klein of Thayer, Missouri, Sheranne McGill and husband, Edward of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Kerry Krieg Kelly and fiance¢ , Beryl Wrinkle of Thayer, Missouri; eight grandchildren and their families: Charl Klein; Lee Klein, his wife, Sharon and daughter, Savannah; Nick McGill, his wife Whitney and children, Ian, Meadow, Tori and Bryce; Celese Eldridge, her husband, Josh and daughter, Aiden; Rachel Andres, her husband, Tyler and son, Zavier; Derek Krieg; Christian Wrinkle; and Sarah Wrinkle and son, Micah; one sister, Ruby Marley of Koshkonong, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Hazel Hathaway; nephew, Melvin Giles and wife, Marge; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Sarah Hathaway; two brothers, Charles and Clarence Hathaway and two sisters, Mildred Mitchell and Ethel Hathaway.
Our new generations will not know “Dude” physically, however, her dreams and wonderful stories of Love that we grew up with, will be told forever.

Amon T.J. Decker was born the son of Oscar Decker and Creasy Holloway Decker on October 29, 1923 in Moko, Arkansas and departed this life on March 6, 2012 at The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 88 years.
On April 6, 1946 he was united in marriage to Reva Elaine Norman.
He is survived by three children, Norma Johnson and husband, Bill of Springfield, Missouri, Danny Decker and wife, Brenda of Walnut Grove, Missouri and Marcia Brown and husband, Charles of Thayer, Missouri; six grandchildren, Janice Fries, Pamela Harrell, Katrina Spickard, Katrisha Simmons, Lorie Slezak, Julie Johnson and; five great-grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Easton Spickard, Stormey Spickard, Victoria Simmons and Abigail Fries; one brother, Burnan Decker and wife, Nell of Collierville, Tennessee; two sisters, Dorlean Lamb and husband, Gene of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Bethel Childress; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Monieda Holman, Wilma Gutelius, Virgina Frealy Combs; and one infant brother;;and grandson,Dale Johnson.
Mr. Decker was a Veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. His service for his country and fellow man did not cease after his discharge from military duty. He became a lifetime member of the Thayer American Legion No. 344, regulary serving in the Honor Guard for many military honor funeral services. Amon was a wonderful family man, who worked as an Engineer with Frisco Railroad for forty-three years. He put his loved ones before himself and was always there when someone was in need.
Amon Decker will be remembered as a kind and caring man with a big heart. He made many sacifices in life reflecting his love for his family, friends, and country.
Bobby Bradley was born the son of Edith Bradley on December 29, 1930 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and departed this life on March 5, 2012 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.
He was united in marriage at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas on July 17, 1954 to Willie Mae Ivey.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Willie Mae Bradley of the home in Hardy, Arkansas; two daughters, Patsy Ann Hansen and husband, Mark of Naples, Florida and Connie Mae Bradley Luke and husband, Gain of Hardy, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Summer (Summy) and Bradley Conner Luke; four half -sisters, Barbara Stephens and husband, Gary of St. Peters, Missouri, Opal Pence of St. Peters, Missouri, Patsy Marshall of East Prairie, Missouri and Reba Funderburk and husband, Ron of Clearwater, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a special companion, his little dog, “Bear”.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Bradley and grandmother, Emma Bradley (Granny).
Bobby was employed as a Single-axle Truck Driver for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. He loved working on vehicles, growing a bountiful garden and sharing his produce with family and friends, but his greatest joys in life were spoiling his grandchildren, spending time with his family and enjoying the company of his dog.
He was a believer in the Christian faith, a lifelong resident of Hardy, Arkansas, a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed by his family and the community in which he lived.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bronaugh Cemetery near Hardy, Arkansas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
Chad Ray Howell was born the son of Tommy Kenneth Howell and Mary Downs Howell on April 4, 1973 at West Plains, Missouri and departed this life March 3, 2012 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 38 years.He was united in marriage on May 19, 1993 at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to Misty Goetting.
He is survived by two sons, Dustin Howell of Thayer, Missouri and Dalton Howell of Thayer, Missouri; one brother, Kevin Howell of Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Misty Howell of Koshkonong, Missouri; the mother of his sons, Misty Zaborac; two nephews; two nieces; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Mary Howell.
Chad was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, training and running his rabbit dogs and coon hounds. He was an outstanding fisherman and was known to have the biggest catch at the end of the day.
He was a self-employed carpenter and roofer and cherished the time spent working with his sons, while teaching them the trade.
Chad will be missed by his family and many friends.

Norma Jo Case was born the daughter of Ernest James and Barbara Orr James on October 8, 1935 in Alton, Missouri and departed this life February 24, 2012 in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.
She is survived by her husband, Winfred of the home in West Plains, Missouri; one son, Danny Case and wife, Kathleen of Harrison, Arkansas; one daughter, Pamela Johnson and husband, Kelly of Alton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph and wife, Brandy, Janna and Judah Case of Harrison, Arkansas and Kaley Jo Johnson of Alton, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Silas, Kaden and Kamri Shea; several cousins; other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Barbara James.
Norma was a former telephone operator, working for Bell Telephone Company in St. Louis for many years and was later employed as bank teller for the Bank of Thayer.
She was saved as a teenager and became a faithful member of Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church near Alton. After moving to the Myrtle area, she joined Cotton Creek Free Will Baptist Church where she served as church pianist. As all could see, she was a willing worker in her church and community and continued to live a dedicated life until her death.
She was a true homemaker and will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother, neighbor and a friend to all.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 27, 2012 – 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Chapel in Thayer. The family will recieve friends from 1:00 until sevice time. Burial will be in Huddleston Cemetery near Alton.
