James Franklin Linson was born in Thayer, Missouri, the son of James F. Linson and Elsie A. Grooms Linson on December 11, 1930, and departed this life on August 3, 2021 in Shady Oaks Health Care Center in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
He was united in marriage to Elsie Lorene Miller on May 14, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas, who preceded him in death on February 1, 2018.
Frank is survived by his step-son, Wesley Miller and wife Shirley; one son-in-law, Mike Aday; one daughter-in-law, Alice Linson; one sister, Janice Collins; three brothers, Carl Linson and wife Joan, Lonnie Linson and wife Martha, and Kenneth Linson and wife Mabel; five grandchildren, Christopher Miller and wife Jennifer, Paula Torrez, Kenny Linson and wife Michelle, Jason Aday and wife Casey, and Justin Aday and wife Jeanie; nine great grandchildren, Halley Gilbert, Courtney Lane, Jorden Linson, Samuel Miller, Hanna Miller, Kaitlyn Aday, Makynzie Aday, Mattox Lawson, and Colton Lawson; one great great grandchild, Ramona Gilbert; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elsie Linson; his wife, Elsie Linson; one son, Stanley Linson; one daughter, Charlotte Linson Aday; one granddaughter, Terri Linson; one sister, Lucille Forester; and one brother, Donald Linson.
Frank was a Navy veteran, having served on board ship during the Korean War. He worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas for more than 20 years. He retired and moved back to Missouri where he and Elsie enjoyed living on their farm.
He will be missed by his family and all that knew him.
Graveside services for James F. Linson with be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Walker Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Andy Travis officiating.
Burial will be on Friday, August 6, 2021 in Walker Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
