Thelma Maxine (Boler) Ragsdale was born the daughter of Virgil Boler and Ada (Buchanan) Boler on September 20, 1922 in Salem, Arkansas and departed this life November 9, 2012 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 90 years.
She was united in marriage June 1, 1939 in Fulton County, Arkansas to Clovis Ragsdale, who preceded her in death June 22, 2004.
She is survived by one son, Wendell Ragsdale and wife, Marolyn of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ragsdale of Mammoth Spring; four grandchildren, Ricky Ragsdale and wife, Beth of Mammoth Spring, Rae Lynn Simers and husband, Steve of Mammoth Spring, Monty Ragsdale and wife, Kim of Mammoth Spring and Mary Alana Ragsdale of Searcy, Arkansas; six great grandchildren, Kayla Rose and husband, Forrest, Lindsey Ragsdale, Brittany Simers, Jacob Simers, Emma Ragsdale and Reece Ragsdale, all of Mammoth Spring; one brother, Keith Boler and wife, Robbyn of Bethany, Louisiana; one sister, Rowena Hall and husband, Don of Amarillo, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ada Boler; her husband, Clovis Ragsdale; one son, Cordell Ragsdale; and one brother, Jewell Boler.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at Mammoth Spring and also a member of the Mammoth Spring Garden Club.
Mrs. Ragsdale was a seamstress and was employed by Puritan Fashions in Thayer for many years. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister. She will truly be missed by her family and her many friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Ragsdale will be Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Thelma to the Paragould Children’s Home and may be left at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.
