Mary Frances Combs Hall was born in Couch, Missouri, the daughter of Edd Rogers and Stella Johnston Rogers on July 31, 1930 and departed this life on January 13, 2019 in Alton, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Combs on October 21, 1947 in Couch Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1987. She was united in marriage to Leo Hall on August 24, 1991 in Thayer, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2013.
She is survived by several very special nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Don Combs and wife, Gaye, of West Plains, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Virginia Combs of Summersville, Missouri; two special friends, Neta Clinton Frase and Lucrecia DuBois; and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Combs; her husband, Leo Hall; her parents, Edd and Stella Rogers; five brothers; and three sisters.
Mary was a member of the Myrtle Freewill Baptist Church and faithfully attended when her health permitted. She was also a former member of the Garfield Freewill Baptist Church for many devoted years.
Mary and Ralph enjoyed spending summer vacations together. Sometimes it was just the two of them, other times it was with their family members.
After her marriage to Leo, she enjoyed being a farm wife, working with Leo to improve their farm at Myrtle and raising beef cattle.
She truly loved her time spent outdoors in her yard, tending to her flowerbeds. She loved all different types of flowers and shrubs and could tell you the name of every one.
Mary always enjoyed time spent with her nieces, especially the slumber parties. This made for long lasting memories for all.
Mary will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving and caring aunt, and a friend to all. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Darrell Strain and Brother Jarvis Reed officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 12:00 PM until service time at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.
Interment will be held at the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. of Thayer, Missouri.
