Paul William Wooldridge was born the son of Alvie F. Wooldridge and Nora Green Wooldridge on November 9, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and departed this life January 23, 2018, at his home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, at the age of 84 years.
He was united in marriage on July 23, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi, to Sue Weaver.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Sue Wooldridge of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two children, Marty Paul Wooldridge of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Paula Cooper and husband, Mark of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three grandsons, Seth Wooldridge and wife, Samantha of Springfield, Missouri, and Houston Cooper and Garrett Wooldridge, both of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one great grandson, Payton James Wooldridge of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Robert Wooldridge and wife, Romona of Springfield, Missouri and Mike Wooldridge and wife, Delores of Thayer, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Nora Wooldridge.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He was employed with Frisco-Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as an engineer, retiring after thirty-six years of service.
Paul never met a stranger and through out the years, he made friendships that would last a lifetime.
He enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including playing golf, collecting antiques, and restoring and showing old cars. Most of all, “Bill”, as he was known by many, along with Sue, other family members and friends, enjoyed traveling many miles to watch their grandsons participate in ballgames and other school activities.
Paul was a member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ where he attended as long as health permitted.
He was a loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather and will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Wooldridge will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Barry O’Dell officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Paul was one of my best friends growing up at Thayer. I knew his family well, especially his brother and grandparents. Prayers and condolences for Sue and the family.
