cherry-photo-7    Lucille Vivian Cherry was born the daughter of William P. Dillard and Elizabeth Catherine (Smith) Dillard on September 3, 1926, in Fulton County, Arkansas, and departed this life on December 27, 2016, in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 90 years.
She was united in marriage on June 9, 1944 in Salem, Arkansas, to Russell Cherry who preceded her in death on August 2, 1991.
She is survived by one son, Kyle Cherry; one sister, Lorene Miller of Flagstaff, Arizona; one grandson, Kristopher Cherry of Springfield, Missouri; one granddaughter, Alisha Cherry of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Dillard; her husband, Russell Cherry; one son, Wayne Cherry; two sisters, Lottie Geib and Lillie Flynn; three brothers, William Dillard, Ray Dillard and Roy Dillard.
She was a Christian and a member of the Thayer Church of Christ.
She was a long time member to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in the state of Michigan.
Lucille truly enjoyed life. She was a dedicated homemaker, loving wife, mother , grandmother and sister. She liked to knit, play cards and spend time with family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Graveside services for Lucille Cherry, age 90, of Thayer, Missouri, were held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM in Thayer Cemetery with Erman Croney officiating.   Burial was in Thayer Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc in Thayer.
