To the family of Ashley,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Some years ago we had a close call when our daughter was diagnosed with cancer at age 17. Although she came through it just fine, the experience causes me to look at other peoples situations with much more empathy. I have no idea what it means for someone to lose such a young family member.
What I do know is that we can all take comfort in the sure promises found in God’s Word. When Jesus was on earth, he gave proof of, not only his ability, but also his desire to bring health and life to suffering people. The resurrections that he performed showed that he had his backing of his Father.
In the not too distant future, God will fulfill the promises found at Revelation 21:3,4: With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
