Funeral services for Ivene Martin, 87, Dora, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with Pastor Betty Stanley officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Frank Ballinger and Ina Fay Tilman Ballinger, on October 20, 1929 in Dora, Missouri and died December 18, 2016 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage March 1951 to Eldon Nathaniel Martin, who preceded her in death July 9, 1988.
She is survived by two children, James Ivan Martin and wife Barbara, Edgewater, Florida and Eldena Williams and husband Timothy, Dora, Missouri; one brother, Estyl Ballinger, West Plains, Missouri; two sisters, Wilma Ballinger, Gordon, Nebraska, and Zella Ballinger, Pulper, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Margie Smith, and Zalla Conger, and one great grandson, Jason Levi.
She attended the Needmore Church of God in Dora, Missouri.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to7:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Ball Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains
