Tonya Jolene Reed Ledford, 50, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on September 23, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those she cherished most.
Tonya was born on February 22, 1976, to her loving parents, Joseph and Cheryl (Linderman) Bond. She was one of ten children and grew up surrounded by the strength, laughter, and lifelong bonds that come from being part of a large and loving family.
Throughout her life, Tonya dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that perfectly reflected her compassionate and nurturing spirit. She was also proud of her time serving as a cook for the Salvation Army, finding joy in providing comfort and care through her work.
One of life’s greatest blessings came when she met the love of her life, Ronald “Ron” Ledford. The two were united in marriage on May 16, 2003, at Charity Baptist Church in Goshen, Arkansas. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and family, raising their two beloved daughters, Brianna and Katlyn, who were among her greatest treasures.
Tonya found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved music, enjoyed the challenge of puzzles, and never missed an opportunity to care for those around her. Yet few things brought her as much delight as her cherished collection of miniature blown-glass figurines. She lovingly gathered them throughout the years, and her family smiles knowing they may continue discovering these tiny treasures for years to come, each one a reminder of her unique spirit and joyful heart.
Above all else, Tonya’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a caring sister, and a treasured friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help others touched countless lives and created memories that will be cherished forever.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ronald “Ron” Ledford; her daughters, Brianna Thouvenell and Katlyn Engholm; her six beloved grandchildren; her siblings, Joe (Lynda) Bond, Jeff (Mary) Bond, Steven (Tami) Bond, Sharon Phillips, Garlyn (Sandy) Rich, Melinda (Wayne) Prim, Angela (Derrick) Ulmer, Tammy (Bill) Calder, and Johnny (Stacy) Bond; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cheryl (Linderman) Bond, and her beloved son, Michael Birge.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of compassion, faith, and devotion to family will continue to shine brightly for generations to come.
A Memorial Service, hosted by the family and Church, will be on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Lunch will be provided.
