Bobby Joe Roberts was born the son of Floyd E. and Sarah Ann (Roy) Roberts on November 15, 1938 in Alton, Missouri and departed this life March 5, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 74 years.
He is survived by four sons, Teddy Roberts and wife, Denise; Jason Roberts and wife, Mary Ann; Tony Roberts and wife, Lesa; and Bobby Roberts and wife, Jessica; one daughter, Vonda Miller and husband, Mark; sixteen grandchildren, Jenna, Kelsie, Corey, Randall, Lauren, Jordan, Hannah, Jake, Luke, Richie, Shelbie, Delanie, Cassie, Corey, Carter, and Camden; four great grandchildren, Braiden, Eli, Noah, and Allie; one brother, Donald Lee Roberts and wife, Betty; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sarah Roberts and one brother, Ronnie Ray Roberts.
Bob was a truck driver and farmer for many years. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden, and enjoyed buying and selling produce. He loved his family and the time they spent together.
He was of the Baptist Faith, saved at the Riverton Church, and baptized at the First Baptist Church in Thayer, Missouri. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Victory Free Will Baptist Church at Alton, Missouri with Jason Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer. Burial will be in the Riverton Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Cousins,
I am so sorry for your loss. Losts of wonderful memories! My love to each one of you. One things for certain is that Grandma did not go long without seeing her children. They are all having a happy reunion and walking with no pain.
