Funeral services for Madena Pansy Lakey, 67, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Brother Richard Martin officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of Rosa Maud Carter Collins and the late Windol Collins, on October 31, 1947 in Gainesville, Missouri and died June 22, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Warren, who preceded her in death, and later married Lyle Lakey, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother Rosa Maud Carter Collins, Dora, Missouri; two daughters, Lea Ann Jenne and Melissa Dawn Warren, both of West Plains; five siblings, Julie Pippin and husband Donald, Gainesville, Missouri, Anita Cobb and husband Aubrey, Strafford, Missouri, Tony Collins and wife Judy, Dora, Missouri, Nancy Parks and husband Marion, Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Melody Golay, Tecumseh, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; her father, and two brothers, Allen and Marlon Collins.
She attended Sweeton Pond Church at Dora, Missouri. She enjoyed going to the church’s monthly singings.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Sweeton Pond Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
