Sheila Ann Thompson, age 68 of Thayer, Missouri, passed away at her home on February 23, 2024. Sheila was born January 12, 1956, to William F. and Alice Deane (Melton) Thompson in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
Sheila graduated from Thayer High school in 1974 and graduated from SMS in 1977, in Springfield, Missouri, with an associate degree in accounting. She loved animals and taking care of the farm. She enjoyed being outdoors, spent hours in her garden and taking care of her flowers. She was an avid reader and spent a lot of time working on puzzles.
Above all Sheila loved her family and spending time with them, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her mother Alice of Thayer, Missouri; two brothers Billy Thompson of Thailand and Richard Thompson, wife Teri of Shreveport, Louisiana; special uncle and aunt David and Addie Melton of Thayer, Missouri; two special aunts Ruth Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri and Lucille Thompson Clarksville, Tennessee; nieces and nephews Eric Thompson, wife Andrea, Ben Thompson, wife Precious, Haley Thompson, Nathan Thompson, Ryley Thompson, Reagan Thompson, Karin Thompson and husband, Beverly Thompson and Mariah Bonner; seven great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father; one brother Robert Dean Thompson; and her grandparents.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Thayer cemetery in Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:30 till graveside service time at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024.
Interment will be on Friday, March 1, 2024, in Thayer Cemetery, Thayer Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
