Wanda Lillian (Kittrell) Mason was born the daughter of Kenneth D. Kittrell and Lillian (Johnson) Kittrell on January 26, 1932, in Aurora, Missouri, and departed this life on April 28, 2016, in Mountain Grove, Missouri , at the age of 84 years.
She was united in marriage on April 17, 1950 in Clay County, Arkansas to Billy C. Mason who preceded her in death on March 30, 2002
She is survived by three daughters, Billie D. Cox of McDonough, Georgia, Vickie L. Taft and husband, Deen of Troy, Missouri, and Teresa A. Gonzalez and husband, Roberto of St. Peters, Missouri; one son, Wm. Shane Mason and wife, Christine of O’Fallon, Missouri; two brothers, Don Kittrell and wife, Shirley of St. Louis, Missouri, and Stan Kittrell and wife, Althea of West Plains, Missouri; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lillian Kittrell; her husband, Billy C. Mason; one daughter, Patricia K. Mason; one sister, Edrena Wilson; one brother, John “J.T.” Kittrell; and two great great grandchildren, Maccee and Cherity.
Wanda was a long time member of Grace Assembly of God Church in Florissant, Missouri where she served as church secretary.She was a dedicated homemaker, an excellent cook and was well known for her delicious chicken and dumplings. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and listening to music. She will truly be missed by her family and all that knew her.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Minister Justin Devries officiating.
Burial was in Thayer Cemetery in Thayer.
