    Shannon “Bubba” William Monk, 49, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on October 3, 1976, to proud parents Roxie Dixon and Wayne Eugene Monk in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

    Bubba was a passionate fan of the New Orleans Saints, eagerly watching every game throughout the seasons. He had a love for bowling and participated in several tournaments with his own team. A kind-hearted individual, Bubba dedicated much of his life to helping others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), he tirelessly assisted those in need and continued to support his neighbors even after he stepped away from his professional career.

    Bubba is survived by his mother, Roxie Dison; his children, Joseph Monk, Victor Monk, Tiffany Monk, Dakota Monk, and Elizabeth Bethel; grandchildren Louanna Bethel and Jasper Bethel; siblings Frankie Monk and wife Vanessa Rebelozo, Maria Lewis, and Catherine Stafford; sisters-in-law Mary Milligen and Amy Milligen; brother-in-law Lynn Milligan; nieces Patience Monk, Marisa Monk, Shelly Monk, Sierra Rebelozo, Savanah Marcy, and Autumn Dailey; and nephews Michael Milligan, Cody Milligan, Steele Milligan, and John Joseph Lewis. He also leaves behind his uncle Kelley Watts and girlfriend Maria Goodson.

    Bubba was preceded in death by his brother, Benny Monk; father, Wayne Eugene Monk; Grandmother Ellen Watts; Grandfather Willy Luther; uncle’s Louie Watts and Jewel Watts, and niece Destiny DeShay Lewis.

    His spirit lives on in the hearts of his beloved family, who will forever cherish the laughter and love he brought into their lives.

The family will hold private services at a later date.
