Rocco Verdico, 57, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away September 6, 2023, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born August 19, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois to Rocco and Virginia (Ginny) Verdico.
In 1983 he graduated from Roosevelt High School. He then became a buyer for Tower records. After the store closed he moved to West Plains. He then started Herocon as the CEO. He then arranged conventions, many of which he donated the proceeds to charity.
Rocco is survived by his parents, Rocco and Ginny Verdico; his sister, Becky Perez; brother Harvey (Marla) Ernst, and the love of his life, Janet Redford. Rocco was the proud uncle to Jessica (Justin) Bartlett, Juliana Perez, Leeanna Owens, Amber (Lori) Winter, Constance (Edgar) Macedo. He was the great uncle to Alina, Jaxon, Finleigh, Carlos, Raelynn, and Hope. Rocco had many aunts, uncles and friends who loved him. He was a generous person who would give all he had if someone needed it. He will be missed by all.
Rocco was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rocco and Esther Verdico; maternal grandparents, Cornelius and Elsie Talsma; his cousin Mark Verdico and great-nephew, Langston Bartlett.

There’s no words to describe the pain we are suffering. You were a big part of all our lives. I know that you are with all your grandparents and cousins. RIP
