Robert Glynn Rogers, age 79, of Fordland, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026.

Bob was born on December 19, 1946, in Carmel, California, to Robert and Rosemary Rogers. He graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1965 and married his high school sweetheart, Janice Marie McCradic, on November 5, 1965. Shortly after, they moved to St. Louis, where Bob joined the police academy.  Bob was of Christian faith and was baptized at Charity Baptist Church by Reverend Kenneth Gaines. He attended Midway Church locally before moving to St Louis.

Bob proudly served with the St. Louis Police Department until his retirement in 1988, spending nearly half of his career serving on motorcycle patrol. After retirement, he and Janice moved closer to home, and Bob later retired again from SEI in West Plains in 2011.

Bob was a hard worker who was always busy doing something—whether it was driving a school bus, farming, or reporting traffic news from a helicopter. He was a devoted husband to his beloved “Sweetie,” a loving father, proud grandfather, and his daughters’ biggest supporter, showing them by example how a man should treat a lady.

His hobbies and joys in life were simple but meaningful: keeping an eye on his family through Life360 and texting reminders to slow down or charge their phones, sharing endless dad jokes, attempting to play golf, watching football or Nascar, fishing, spending time with his grand dog Ellie, and trips to the shooting range with his good friend Jack.

Bob was a distinguished and highly revered member of Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge #327 AF&AM in West Plains, MO. Bob served as a Past Master of the lodge and for over 48 years he labored diligently to give back to the community through charitable work and donations.

Bob was a man of strong character, deep patriotism, and unwavering love for his family. He never met a stranger, and his legacy is not only found in the things he accomplished, but in the love, laughter, kindness, and generosity he shared with everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Rosie; his brother, Kenny; sisters Betty and twin sister Barb; and brothers-in-law Kenneth, Bill, Junior, Jim, and Freddie.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice; daughters Stephanie (Ethan) of Willow Springs, Renee’ (Tracy) of Springfield, and Robyn (Darren) of Rogersville; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at Flint Cemetery in Wirth, Arkansas, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

    Mrs Janice,

I just want to let you know that Bob will be missed from among the Freemasons Southern Missouri.

I got acquainted with Bob at Woodside Lodge No. 387 in Thomasville Missouri, about 2008. I always enjoyed being around Bob as he always had a few good stories to share.

He Will be missed and my prayers are with you and your family at this time.
