Funeral services for Pauline Simmons, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Samuel Cleveland Pierce and Dessie Columbia Scott Pierce, on May 8, 1940 in Couch, Missouri and died January 27, 2019 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage March 18, 1962 in Alton, Missouri to Gilbert Simmons.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Simmons, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; three daughters, Nancy Yaqoob, and husband Javad, Elmont, New York; Gwen Simmons, Hollister, Missouri, and Kathryn Phillips and husband, Luther, Grapevine, Texas; four grandchildren, Sereena, Taniya, Caitlin, and Shelby, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gordon Pierce and Samuel Pierce, as well as four half-brothers and four half-sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery, Oregon County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
