Nerva T. Trimble was born the daughter of Samuel Overstreet and Lula (Patterson) Overstreet on November 11, 1915, at Medicine Lodge, Kansas and departed this life July 3, 2013, at Shady Oaks Health Care in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 97 years.
She was united in marriage on July 5, 1938, at Sharon, Kansas to Carlton Waymon Trimble, who preceded her in death on August 26, 1998.
She is survived by one daughter, Sara Hicks and husband, Howard of Devine, Texas; two sons, Robert Trimble and wife, Paula of Mukilteo, Washington, and Richard Trimble of Thayer, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlton Trimble; one grandchild; four brothers, Dwight Overstreet, Ray Overstreet, Dorse Overstreet, and Ross Overstreet; and one sister, Geneva Isaacs.
Nerva was a dedicated homemaker and excellent cook, being known for her great desserts. She enjoyed research of family history and genealogy.
Mrs. Trimble was a long-time member and Sunday School teacher of the First Baptist Church in Thayer, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Her family will remember her as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a loyal friend. She will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services for Mrs. Trimble will be Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Gerald Bounds officiating and burial in the Thayer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church of Thayer, Three Rivers Hospice, or the charity of your choice and may be left at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.
