Nancy Ilene Taylor, age 64, was born on May 6, 1961, to Johnny and Linda DeMoss Redus in Doniphan, Missouri. She departed this life on December 6, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by her loved ones.

On November 27, 1982, Nancy was united in marriage to David Taylor, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, family, and devotion.

Nancy is survived by her husband, David Taylor; five children: Wesley (Shelby) Taylor, Megan (Josh) White, Zachary Taylor, Madison Pruiett, and Dennis McGhee; her beloved grandchildren: Corbin, Hadley, Haizley, Autreigh, Liam, Quincy, Brentley, and Laken; one brother, Sherman Redus and wife Carol; one sister, Holly Beegle; brother-in-law Terry Taylor and wife Peggy; several nieces and nephews: John Redus, Jason Redus, Haley Beegle, Brenda Taylor, Libby Watson, Marcia Kerley, and Brandon Barton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Linda Redus; her sister, Tammy Barton; her mother- and father-in-law, Gordon and Jean Taylor; her nephew, Jordan Redus; and her sister- and brother-in-law, Bonita and Donald Busch.

Nancy had a warm, outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She loved to talk, laugh, and visit with everyone she encountered, making friends wherever she went. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and especially loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, vacationing at the beach, camping at the lake, cooking for those she loved, thrift shopping, and simply being surrounded by friends and family.

For the past 16 years, Nancy devoted her time and heart to cooking at the Thayer Fun and Friends Senior Center, where she took great pride in serving the elders of her community. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives, and her presence at the center will be deeply missed.

Nancy will be remembered for her kind heart, friendly spirit, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.

Nancy was a really fun person to hang with, she always made work funner, she taught me a lot about cooking, I’ll never forget the time she dressed up like Mrs. Butter worth at school, and how she always had me check her nose out before serving. Lol she will definitely be missed.

Going to miss you Nancy you were a great friend and neighbor I’ve enjoyed knowing you for all these years, I’m going to miss your sweet loving kindness you showed me, you were like a sister to me. Thank you for all the good sweet precious memories, and whenever you spoke, you spoke with love and tenderness. Not only did this community lose such amazing friend and terrific neighbor but a sister who was there to make you laugh, made you feel like you mattered, always there to give you a helping hand or even a hug, you’ll always be remembered, never forgotten. Go Dancing in the sky my friend and go rest high on that mountain. R.I.P. until we meet again beyond the Pearly Gates.

You can no longer see her with your eyes, touch her with your hand, nor hear her voice. But she will forever be in your heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Nancy came honestly by her gift for gab from her momma, talk with them both and I’d be there awhile, and be all caught up up with news.
Nancy and I became friends in 3rd grade and from that moment on we were at one or the other’s house until graduation.
David I’m so sorry for you loss and your families loss. She loved being your wife and being a mother. Love and prayers my friend.

Nancy welcomed Evan and I into the family with open arms the minute we came through the door. She could make anyone laugh regardless of the occasion. And her laughter…it could fill a room.
From camping on the banks of the Eleven Point, to the huge vacation in Branson, random meetings at the lake and all of the gatherings in between, I will cherish memories with her forever. Her love was genuine, powerful and everlasting. My life has been blessed for having her in it.
Although my heart believes she’s in a better place, it continues to break for her loved ones here. I will forever be sending love to those who cherish her.
