Even though I only shared a handful of moments with Mildred over the years, each one truly stayed with me. She had such a gentle, affectionate spirit, and her kind words—and the warmth she shared with both Arthur and me—always touched my heart. She will be deeply missed. Please know that our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I hope you can find peace in knowing that she is now reunited with her husband, held in God’s embrace. I can only imagine how difficult that year apart must have been for her, and I pray that the love they shared continues to surround and comfort your family.
During this difficult time, we wish we could be there with all of you to offer our support and share in remembering her beautiful life. Please know that we are holding you close in prayer and spirit.
I’d also like to share a poem my mom wrote that has brought comfort in moments like these, hoping it may offer the same to you.
Wild Flowers
People are like a wild flower,
They blossom at different times,
And then they wilt up & blow away.
But the flower is not forgotten,
Like the soul that’s gone to heaven,
Love is always there,
Like the flower of remembrance,
To live forever in freedom,
To that life beyond.
