Michael Leon Coker was born in Salem, Arkansas, the son of Powell Leon Coker and Sarah Jane Harrison Coker on February 2, 1975 and departed this life on February 1, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 43 years.
He was united in marriage to Rachel Dills on September 29, 2007, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. From this union, three children were born.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karli and Addison of Thayer, Missouri; one son, Garrett of Thayer, Missouri; his mother, Sarah Coker of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one sister, Michelle Koehn and husband, Macy, of Hensley, Arkansas; one brother, Robert Coker and wife, Kathleen, of St. Louis, Missouri; many nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives; and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Powell Leon Coker; and one sister, Georgie Ann Coker Doremus.
Michael spent many dedicated years as an engineer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in Thayer, Missouri. He loved to watch and play basketball during his free time. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his children, family and friends.
Michael will be remembered as a devoted father, a loving and caring son and brother, and a friend to all. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 from 12:00 PM until service time.
