  Karen Hoffman Ogden, 64, of Myrtle, Missouri, passed away on February 24, 2025, at her home in Myrtle, Missouri. She was born on December 20,1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Clarence Hoffman and Alice Fay (Dalton) Hoffman. Karen married John F. Ogden in Van Wert, Ohio in 1988. They were married until John’s passing on May 23, 2022. Together they adopted three children: Daniel, Donald, and Jonathan. Karen had five stepchildren: Alice, William, Anne, Anita, and John Jr.

   Karen enjoyed being outside and helping others. Her grandparents raised her, introduced her to Jesus, and they faithfully took her to church. She was a devoted Christian and was a faithful member of the Myrtle Freewill Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and spending time with her grandchildren. Karen always looked forward to seeing and spoiling her grandchildren.

  Karen is survived by her children, grandchildren, and cousin, Sue York. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

  Karen was known for her love and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Myrtle Cemetery of Myrtle, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be: Donald Ogden, Daniel Ogden, Ben Wilkins, Travis Boddie, Korey Whitelock and Mark Bowers.

Services to be officiated by Brother Joe Garrison.

    May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Heaven will be getting a wonderful lady. She will truly be missed by many.

    Our deepest sympathy and condolences, Karen was a sweet friend and she had a huge big heart, You knew that she cared because you could tell she was just so full of love. She’s going to be missed by us, I’m going to miss our chit chats. GOD speed Karen Ogden and enjoy yourself. “DANCING IN THE SKY” and singing in the Angels Choir. From the Doles Family.
