Though I only knew her as being family through my grandmother (Mary Sue Ward-formerly Brickell) and only met her and her son Tommy a handful of times, she was such a kind, bright, memorable lady and she clearly impacted a great many other people’s lives. I won’t forget how she showed support for the Brickells when they’ve had their losses and I apologize terribly I am unable to return the gesture and be there for her on her final journey home, but to her family: I am sending my love and support during this heartbreaking time and know Jennie and all she’s done will never be forgotten. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Jennie. I regret I was not informed of her passing at the time as I would have attended her Celebration of Life. We met at the Thayer Church of Christ during our high school years. We became instant friends. I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex, so we didn’t see each other that often, but we called each other on our birthdays and met for lunch when I was in Thayer. I also attended church with her and Tommy at Welcome Home Church of Christ in Mammoth Springs. She was a wonderful person who dedicated her life to following Jesus Christ. She was of the utmost integrity and loved people and her church very much! I miss her smile and her kindness. She was so proud of her family and extremely appreciative of Tommy who lived with her and did so much for her when he could have been out on his own like the majority of guys would have been. Her health was failing her, but that didn’t affect her attitude and gratitude for God’s presence and for Tommy always being there to help her attend church and go to doctor appointments. She’s with the Angels in Heaven now and no longer suffering! God bless Jennie for eternity!
