Ethel Frances Heger was born the daughter, and only child, of John Heger, Jr. and Mary Ann Baertels Heger on November 13, 1916, in Stratford, Texas, and died July 17, 2017, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 100 years.
She is survived by her cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ann Heger.
Ethel worked in the Loan Department at the Bank of Thayer for many years.
In her earlier years, Ethel was active in her community and was a former member of the Mammoth Spring Garden Club and the Mammoth Spring Altruist Club.
She was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, Missouri.
She will be sadly missed by her cousins and her family at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, where she had lived for the past few years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer with Father Shoby Chettiyath officiating.
Burial will be in Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Ethel also worked at Franz Processing in Mammoth Spring, AR for several years. I know, because I worked there for awhile too. She was always very kind to this “fresh out of high school” teenager. My last name was Pressley at that time.
